Robot Roommates is the hysterical animated series about Steve and Edna - two roommates sharing a rundown basement apartment who also happen to be killer robots from outer space. They may have the destructive power to level a city block, but that doesn’t help them pay the rent.

Steve-tronic is a mellow voiced, floating brain in a jar. His biggest problem in life (besides being a floating brain in a glass jar) is that he worries about everything. He’s the one who would like to do more actual enslaving of the humans, but his chronic, some might say paranoid, worrying always holds him back. He gets around quite well on his tank-tread feet, and he’s pretty good at lifting things with his force field, pretty good, but far from perfect. Good thing their couch was stained when they got it. He has recently discovered a fish is living in his brain fluid. While he’s not sure how it got there, he has a suspicion it started life as a cracker. He has named it Cheddar.

Edna 6000 is a doer. Unfortunately all she wants to do is to watch TV and play video games. Her biggest problem in life is Steve, who seems to be of the opinion that they should, at times, be thinking about... you know... enslaving the humans. Edna is the laziest being you have ever met, and will go to great lengths to spend all day on the couch. With her retractable arms and legs, she is designed to do all the things that Steve can’t. But try getting her to take out the trash or wash her dishes. Truth be told, she is actually the delivery platform for The Gun, an independently minded weapon that lives within her. It is the most powerful weapon in the galaxy, and prefers Ketchup over Dill Pickle flavoured chips.

Ostensibly, they’re here to conquer and enslave the humans. And they will too... eventually. But for right now they’ve got more pressing problems - their landlord is hassling them about the rent, a raccoon evil genius has claimed their kitchen as his own, and most pressingly - tonight’s a repeat episode of Iron Chef that they’ve only seen twice! Everything else is going to have to wait.
